Essential Documents
Checklist:
To support your Change of Status application, please have the following documents ready:
Passport and Visa Copies: (for you and your dependents).
I-94 Forms: (for you and your dependents).
DS-2019 Form: (if your current status is J1).
Bank Statement from the last 30 days: (For each quarter of study, you need $4,500 + $1,500 for each dependent).
Sponsor Letter: If applicable, a letter from your sponsor.
Family Documentation: Copies of marriage certificates and children’s birth certificates.
USCIS Correspondence: Any relevant letters or receipts from USCIS.
Letter to Immigration: A detailed letter explaining your reasons for requesting a Change of Status.
